What you can look forward to as Assistant Manager - Commodity buyer (m/f/d):

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Iron casting.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, logistics cost, tooling cost, and long-term agreements.
• Achieve annual cost reduction targets through productivity improvements and strategic negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.
• Drive supplier localization and dual sourcing initiatives to improve competitiveness and supply resilience.
• Drive supplier capability development to meet business growth requirements. Support sourcing decisions during product development and engineering changes.
• Monitor supplier financial health, capacity utilization, and business continuity.Develop contingency sourcing plans for critical components.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the commodity.

Your Profile as Assistant Manager - Commodity Buyer (m/f/d):

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline. MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations is preferred.
• 6–12 years of experience in purchasing or strategic sourcing.
• Experience working in a foundry is preferred.
• Experience sourcing castings for Commercial Vehicle & Off-highway parts such as Calipers, Crankcases, Axle Housings, differential housing, wheel hubs, transmission housing, transaxles etc.
• Strong knowledge of Iron casting manufacturing processes, including machining.
• Knowledge of cost breakdown, should-cost analysis, VA/VE, and total cost of own
• Prepare and manage supply agreements and commercial contracts.
