About this role

About the Role The Assistant Management Accountant EMEA will own parts of the month-end close and deliver accurate financial reporting across multiple entities in the EMEA region. You will ensure GAAP-compliant accounting, support balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and statutory reporting, and contribute to audits and process improvements. This hands-on role provides ownership and cross-functional exposure in a global hospitality brand.

What You'll Do

  • Own key parts of the month-end and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reviews.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment in line with GAAP across multiple regional entities.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and support robust financial reporting.
  • Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice reviews, expense checks and payment runs.
  • Prepare VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Play a key role in audit cycles, preparing schedules and supporting audit requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across finance operations.
  • Support projects and initiatives, including internal controls and technical accounting research.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in month-end close, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable processes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills, with working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion (HFM) preferred.
  • Confident communicator, able to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Curious, with a mindset to challenge and improve processes.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Studying towards or qualified in CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • 3–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting, audits and statutory accounts.

Nice to Have

  • Additional European languages are a plus, but not essential.
