Location: ibis Styles Strasbourg Centre Républiqe, Strasbourg, France Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (35h/week, 5 days, 9h30-17h)

Description

• As Assistant Gouvernant, you are the right-hand person to the housekeeping manager. You ensure cleanliness, hygiene and comfort of the rooms and common areas, in line with hotel quality standards, while supervising the housekeeping team (7 to 10 people) on a daily basis.

• Missions

• Organisation et contrôle au quotidien: organise and plan daily housekeeping work in the absence of the head housekeeper; check cleanliness and conformity of all cleaned bedrooms to standard; ensure quality standards and hotel procedures; coordinate room-specific details with reception.

• Entretien de l’hôtel: clean rooms during peak activity or staff shortages; participate in regular cleaning of common areas; perform ad-hoc cleaning tasks as needed.

• Management de l’équipe: support onboarding and training of new staff; supervise and coach housekeeping staff; manage schedules, absences and substitutions in conjunction with the head housekeeper; ensure hygiene, safety and professional conduct; be present on the floor to assist during high activity.

• Gestion du linge, des produits et des zones de stockage: assist in linen stock management and coordinate with the laundry; maintain equipment and proper use of cleaning products; keep offices, laundry and storage areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Skills: strong hotel cleaning techniques; knowledge of hygiene and safety standards; organizational skills and ability to set priorities; fluent French and good English communication.

• Qualities: rigor, attention to detail; leadership and team spirit; discretion, professionalism and excellent presentation; responsiveness and autonomy; effective and positive communication.
