Job title: Assistant gérant de magasin (Marche Centrale)
Assistant gérant de magasin (Marche Centrale) at PUMA Outlet Marche Central is responsible for delivering consistently high customer experience in line with brand values and service standards. You will support the store manager to achieve or exceed sales, profitability, and KPI objectives through short- and long-term planning, controlling expenses, sales, and service. You will assist with recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for sales associates and high-performing, results-oriented supervisors, and you will help manage payroll control and service-oriented scheduling. You may act as the store director when the store manager is absent, ensure completion and effectiveness of training programs, manage education and loss prevention awareness programs, and maintain a safe, compliant work and purchasing environment.
This role requires off-site training and meetings as needed; travel may be necessary. Nontraditional hours (weekends, evenings, holidays) may be required.
What You'll Do
- Provide consistently high standards of customer experience in-store according to brand values and service standards
- Ensure the store consistently meets or exceeds sales, profitability, and KPI targets through effective short- and long-term planning, expense control, and service management
- Assist the store manager with recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for sales associates and high-performing supervisors
- Oversee payroll control and service-oriented scheduling to maintain a highly profitable store with excellent customer service
- Act as store manager in the absence of the store manager
- Ensure completion and effectiveness of training programs
- Manage and monitor education and awareness programs for loss prevention
- Comply with all policies, procedures, essential operational skills, and key responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment and purchasing environment
- Attend off-site training and job-related meetings as needed; travel may be required
- Be available for nontraditional hours; weekends, evenings, holidays; overtime may be required
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of management experience in a targeted, customer-service oriented retail environment (preferably apparel/sh footwear)
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets; demonstrated ability to reason through complex problems; ability to present information to large groups
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills; bilingual (English and French) in Québec
- Quick learner; basic computer skills; MS Office proficiency
- Ability to walk and move constantly; required sensory capabilities (speaking, hearing, near/far vision, depth perception, field of vision)
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 pounds regularly
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay: 26.60 – 29.60 per hour plus benefits
