Assistant General Manager

About the Role Act as the "right-hand" to the GM - fills in for the GM in all functions while the GM is out of the building. Supports them in any way possible for the benefit of the restaurant team and operations. What You'll Do

• Support restaurant operations and conditions to ensure the quality of the product and customer service.
• Assist with team member performance, food and labor costs, budget adherence and sales building.
• Maintain maintenance and operation of restaurant equipment; support food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation; service; vendor invoices and the food ordering system; manager logs and communication; cash and POS accuracy and security.
• Communicate with Team Members, guests, vendors and franchise personnel for various needs. Act as Kitchen Manager for Hielan area when GM is unavailable (or as directed by Area Director/RVP).
• Practice safe food handling and health standards; follow Quarterly Business Plan; demonstrate Service 101 and P.A.C.E. principles; train and mentor the team.
• Lead to budget targets; follow Manager Timeline and perform quality Line Checks; support maintenance planning and repairs within budget.
• Conduct inventory counts and reconciliation; assist GM with personnel decisions (hiring, terminations, promotions, raises); provide timely feedback; mentor Managers and Shift Leaders.
• May perform duties of food server, expo, line cook, Service Assistant or food runner when needed. What We're Looking For

• Strong communication skills; ability to verbalize clearly and provide candid feedback.
• Experience or readiness to act as Kitchen Manager for Hielan area; ability to mentor the Manager and Shift Leaders; drive restaurant toward budget targets.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, local health standards, inventory, vendor management, and training. Nice to Have
• Willingness and ability to fill multiple roles as needed (server, expo, line cook, Service Assistant or food runner). Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $50,000 – $65,000/year. Benefits may vary by location. This location is operated by an independent franchise owner.
