About the Role Thiel College seeks an Assistant Football Coach (Part-Time) to support the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics in all facets of the college's intercollegiate football program. The role focuses on coaching, student-athlete development, and compliance with NCAA Division III, the Presidents Athletic Conference, and Thiel College policies. This is a 10-month, on-campus position with housing, a cell phone stipend, and a meal plan.
What You'll Do
- Teach/instruct student-athletes in football (primary duty of all coaches).
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of game and practice preparations.
- Mentor and monitor the student-athlete's academic progress.
- Evaluate student-athletes academically and athletically.
- Assist in planning and implementing pre/post workout program.
- Assist with fundraising activities.
- Assist with community service planning and implementation.
- Recruit, retain, and graduate quality student-athletes for Thiel College and the athletic program.
- Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Presidents Athletic Conference, and Thiel College.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Head Coach.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred; Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills; Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate coaching and/or recruiting experience; Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and relationship-building skills; Valid driver’s license.
