Job title: Assistant Finance Manager
The Assistant Finance Manager will support project finance, plant financial management, asset governance, inventory control, and financial compliance to drive financial performance and strengthen governance across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial oversight of capital projects, including budget monitoring, variance analysis, CWIP management, asset capitalization, and project close-out activities.
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure accurate project cost reporting and compliance with governance requirements.
- Manage plant finance operations post-commissioning, including month-end close activities, MIS reporting, manufacturing cost analysis, financial performance monitoring, and compliance with accounting policies and statutory requirements.
- Oversee fixed asset lifecycle management, including capitalization, verification, transfers, disposals, and depreciation compliance.
- Drive effective inventory management through stock counts, reconciliations, variance reviews, and ageing analysis.
- Strengthen financial controls and governance by ensuring compliance with procurement policies and delegated authority frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions arising from audit findings.
Requirements
- ICAN-qualified Chartered Accountant.
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in Greenfield/Brownfield projects, manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
