About the Role The Assistant Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer will help deliver secure, reliable, and modernized platform engineering capabilities to MetLife’s global technology ecosystem, focusing on automation, cloud-aligned practices, and faster delivery while improving resiliency and scale. Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. What You'll Do
- Assists with Developing and maintaining Azure DevOps (AzDO) pipelines, automation workflows, and CI/CD processes supporting enterprise platforms
- Using Agile methodologies, performs Scrum Master responsibilities and leads PI Planning activities for the Enterprise Application Platforms team
- Assists with supporting container image governance, including certification, maintenance, and promotion across environments
- Assists with implementing and enhancing automation using Ansible Automation Platform to streamline operational tasks
- Supports and maintains IBM WebSphere, Liberty, and containerized runtimes across on-prem and cloud platforms What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of professional IT experience in infrastructure engineering or platform operations
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline or related field
- Possess or be able to obtain Agile Scrum Master certification (or familiarity)
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and container image governance
- Basic knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language (Python or shell preferred)
- Basic understanding of IBM WebSphere and Liberty runtimes, cloud platforms, and container orchestration (Azure AKS, ARO, or OpenShift)
- Strong communication skills with management, technical teams, and business stakeholders Nice to Have
- Basic understanding and some experience with code versioning and repository platforms such as JFrog Artifactory, GitHub, or similar
- Familiarity with Ansible Automation Platform
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and use of Azure DevOps for work management
- Relevant certifications (Agile, Azure, Red Hat, Kubernetes, or similar) Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 - $88,000 annually (USD)
- This role offers eligibility for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives, subject to plan terms
