Job title: Assistant Director/Director, Financial Aid and Scholarships
About the Role Anderson University’s Department of Financial Aid and Scholarships invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Assistant Director/Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The role supports the daily operations of the financial aid office, ensuring fiscally responsible stewardship of federal, state, institutional, and private aid, and provides financial aid analysis and leadership to support enrollment initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the financial aid office and ensure exceptional customer service to students and families.
- Administer and monitor federal, state, institutional, and private aid funds while maximizing resource utilization.
- Assist with or oversee the office budget and provide financial aid analysis and reporting to support enrollment strategy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to net tuition revenue, discount rate analysis, and benchmarking.
- Review GPA and credit hour requirements, develop proactive outreach to support federal loan status, and manage award adjustments for course loads and military benefits.
- Maintain processes in Workday and use reporting tools to optimize aid distribution; provide exit loan counseling.
- Oversee the Federal Work-Study Program and serve as liaison for employee tuition benefits and campus committees.
- Participate in development opportunities and complete special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Services.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in financial aid, student services, or related field.
- Proven knowledge of federal aid processes and regulations; ability to perform basic mathematical operations and present information effectively in one-on-one or group settings.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office; familiarity with Workday or Department of Education or similar systems.
- Strong oral and written communication, exceptional organization, time management, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze and solve problems related to financial aid.

Nice to Have
