Responsibilities

Coordinating the development, implementation and review of research and innovation policies, strategies, procedures and plans

Developing modalities for collaboration with external researchers and research institutions
-
Identifying national, regional and international innovative trends that are relevant to KISE
-
Undertaking patenting of KISE research and innovations
-
Establishing both local and international partnerships to enrich research and innovative programmes
-
Coordinating the dissemination of research and innovation information
-
Coordinating the development of research and innovation programmes
-
Spearheading the preparation of research and innovation reports
-
Coordinating the development of the research and innovation database
-
Reviewing research agendas and tools
-
Reviewing research proposals and concept papers for research and innovation programmes
-
Monitor and review research and innovation programmes
-
Benchmarking on best practices on research and innovation
-
Coordinating the submission and documentation of innovations
-
Qualifications / Work Experience
-
Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing
-
Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution
-
Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Special Needs Education Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Applied Research, Education Technology, Statistics, Economics or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution

Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Special Needs Education, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Applied Research, Education Technology, Statistics, Economics or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution.

Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Principal Research and Innovation Officer or in a comparable position
