Job title: Assistant Director (Product Registration - Pesticides)
This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary technical review of pesticide product registration dossiers for completeness and compliance with notified requirements.
- Compile and coordinate evaluation inputs from risk assessment, studies, and laboratory units and consolidate issues for supervisory review.
- Maintain product registration records, registers, and decision files with version control.
- Support drafting of routine notices, deficiency letters, and communications to applicants.
- Assist in preparing summaries and briefs for product registration decisions and post-registration reviews.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA’s mandate.
Requirements
Education
- B.Sc. (Hons.) (Minimum sixteen years) in Agriculture/Plant Protection, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in regulatory documentation, pesticide evaluation support, or related work.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with proficiency in computer applications.
