About this role
About the Role The Assistant Director of Student Programs provides leadership development for Taylor Student Organization through formal and informal education, team building, program development, project management, and ongoing care/spiritual formation. This role collaborates with the Director to guide TSO Executive Cabinet, supervise student organizations (SAC, IFC, PAX), plan retreats, and contribute to resource management and assessment in alignment with Taylor University’s faith-based mission.
What You'll Do
- Testify to personal experience of salvation and affirm faith statements; abide by Covenant and Foundational Documents.
- Work with Director to provide direction, vision, and leadership to TSO Executive Cabinet.
- Share teaching responsibilities for ongoing Leadership Development of TSO Executive Cabinet; formally teaching once a month.
- Provide leadership, education, and teaching during TSO Training including attendance at a four-day retreat.
- Supervise the Student Activities Council (SAC) including support, challenge, and care of its President and cabinet members.
- Supervise Integration of Faith & Culture (IFC) including support, challenge, and care of its President and cabinet members.
- Co-Supervise PAX with the Director of the Counseling Center including support, challenge, and care of its President and cabinet members.
- Provide overall event support for the office on a coordinated and rotating basis.
- Assist in planning, teaching, and facilitating TSO Fall, Winter, and Spring Retreats.
- Assist the Director with program and team assessment.
- Assist the Director with resource management.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated flexibility in cabinet assignments based on candidate strengths and experience.
