Job title: Assistant Director for School Partnerships and Engagement
About the Role The Assistant Director for School Partnerships and Engagement partners with university leadership, regional school districts, and community organizations to expand educational access and pathways to higher education and workforce success. This role provides operational and outreach support for Wright State University’s CCP program and Take Flight Academy initiatives, helping students prepare for college enrollment and future careers.
What You'll Do
- Support the Director of College Credit Plus (CCP) in administering and promoting the CCP program; build and maintain strong relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, students, and families.
- Guide students and school partners through CCP enrollment steps: admissions requirements, placement testing, orientation, advising, and registration; communicate deadlines and next steps to prospective and admitted CCP students.
- Coordinate outreach activities such as school visits, presentations, information sessions, and student engagement events; serve as a resource on CCP policies and program opportunities.
- Collaborate with academic advising and admissions to support CCP student success and retention; maintain accurate student records and reporting related to CCP participation; promote CCP benefits including college readiness, transferability, and cost savings.
- Lead Take Flight Academy and Partnership Engagement efforts: implement initiatives in selected high schools; provide guidance on college planning, career exploration, workforce readiness, and post-secondary opportunities for high school students.
- Organize workshops, mentoring activities, and engagement programming; build and sustain partnerships with school districts, community organizations, business leaders, and civic partners.
- Represent Wright State University at community events, school meetings, and partnership activities; help develop strategies that position the university as a supportive partner for students pursuing college and career pathways.
- Support outreach to raise awareness of educational opportunities, student support resources, and career readiness initiatives; collect and maintain participation data and assist in evaluating program effectiveness and engagement outcomes.
- Duties as assigned: serve on committees and at external meetings; perform other Division of Enrollment Management responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 3–5 years of experience in admissions, college access programming, secondary education, student services, community engagement, or related field; strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with students, families, educators, and community stakeholders; demonstrated organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel to partner schools; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CCP, dual enrollment, college readiness, or workforce development initiatives; knowledge of higher education admissions and enrollment processes; experience working with diverse student populations and educational partners.
