Assistant Controller
Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will have broad exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, and manufacturing processes while helping drive efficiencies, improve systems, and support continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager ready to step into an Assistant Controller role, or an existing Assistant Controller seeking broader exposure and future advancement.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Analyze financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and operational results.
- Partner with manufacturing and operations teams on cost accounting, inventory, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance reporting, and leverage automation.
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and financial planning initiatives.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and take on increasing responsibility within the Finance team.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing.
- Public accounting candidates with manufacturing client exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting skills, and Excel proficiency.
- Experience with ERP systems and an interest in process improvements.
- Cost accounting and inventory experience preferred.
- Exposure to Power BI, automation, or advanced reporting tools is a plus.
