Position Overview

Orion is seeking an Assistant Associate, Investment – Social to support the team responsible for social media partnerships and client media investments. In this entry-level role, you will help maintain accurate records, track campaign activity, gather vendor reporting, and support the day-to-day stewardship of social media buys. You will work closely with experienced team members while building your knowledge of media investment, trade partnerships, and the social media landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking and maintaining social media partnerships, investment details, and client buys in spreadsheets and internal systems.

  • Enter and update campaign information in Excel, Prisma, and other required tools.

  • Request reporting and documentation from media partners and follow up on missing information or discrepancies.

  • Help monitor campaign activity and flag issues for the Social Investment team.

  • Support monthly billing reconciliation by reviewing records and helping resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare reports, organize data, and assist Investment Specialists and Managers with projects.

  • Build a working knowledge of social platforms, media investment practices, and Orion’s trade partnerships.

  • Identify opportunities to improve how the team organizes information and completes routine tasks.

  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Comfort working with numbers and checking data for accuracy.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.

  • Desired Skills and Experience

  • Internship, coursework, or work experience in media, advertising, marketing, finance, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with social media advertising or Mediaocean Prisma.

  • Curiosity, initiative, a strong work ethic, and positive interpersonal skills.

  • Interest in developing media partner relationships and negotiation skills.

  • Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
