About the Role UCSF Aquatics seeks an Assistant Aquatics Manager to oversee year-round programming across three pools on two campuses, including lifeguard services, Learn to Swim, certification courses, a US Masters swim team, and a water exercise program. The position supports safe, engaging, and diverse programming and requires year-round availability.
What You'll Do
- Oversee aquatics programming across three pools on two UCSF campuses, including lifeguard services and Learn to Swim
- Manage certification courses, US Masters swim team, and water exercise programs
- Ensure safety, compliance, and staffing coverage; supervise and train staff; coordinate scheduling
- Collaborate with the Aquatics team to maintain high-quality programming and customer experience
What We're Looking For
- Year-round availability
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Lifeguards certification
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor (active or obtained within 1 year of hire)
- American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) (active or obtained within 1 year of hire)
- American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) Instructor (active or obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Prior experience in aquatics program management or supervision is a plus
