The Opportunity

The Assistant Capital Accountant contributes to RBH’s goals and values by supporting the Capital Accountant with the following:

• Working with Capital Accountant and Group Capital Manager to track actual spend against budget for all hotels.
• Preparation of monthly capital reports for various owner groups
• Carry out monthly capital project audits in line with our policies.
• Work with our Head of Facilities Management on our energy metrics reporting.
• Assist Capital Accountant to review, assess and develop processes for capital reporting and cashflow management.
• Raising monthly project income invoices for the management company.
• Assist Facilities Management and Health & Safety teams with central finance requirements.
• Undertaking supplier statement reconciliation as required.
• Dealing with queries from suppliers, both by e-mail and telephone.
• Other general support as required

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

• Previous experience within accounting and/or related experience essential
• Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced user in MS Office packages including Excel and Word.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• Ability to prioritise your own workload.
• Good communication skills

Where Will You Be Working?

You will be based at our friendly head office in Glasgow, where you’ll find an open-plan workspace. Your desk will be among colleagues from different departments, such as marketing, finance, HR, and property.

At RBH flexibility and work life balance matters. This is a hybrid role of 20 hours per week with the option to work over 3 to 5 days – to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary: £20,000.00 – £30,000.00 per year
