Assets Lead

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Assets Lead to oversee maintenance and reliability of our assets, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. You will lead a team, develop maintenance strategies, and implement best practices to maximize asset life and minimize downtime. What You'll Do

• Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans for assets, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the maintenance team: assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure efficient operations.
• Apply technical expertise to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and support complex issues.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Management of Change (MoC) to prevent recurrence, and manage asset/process changes.
• Manage contractors and suppliers, including technical input on tenders and performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, asset condition, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and equipment performance. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; MSc degree is an advantage.
• Significant experience in asset management or maintenance engineering; 8-10 years in oil and gas/upstream sectors.
• Engineering degree with strong knowledge of equipment and systems (e.g., cranes, diesel engines, earth-moving equipment); familiar with maintenance management systems.
• Leadership and management skills to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities to diagnose issues and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with engineers, technicians, and management.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory requirements and standards. Nice to Have
• MSc degree will be an advantage.
