Job summary

As a Vice President, client account management in the client account management team, you will lead day-to-day client servicing strategy and execution for a portfolio of institutional relationships. You will act as a senior escalation point for complex issues while driving service consistency, operational excellence, and strong risk management. You will partner across functions to deliver scalable solutions that enhance client outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of client account management professionals, setting clear expectations and coaching for high performance.
  • Oversee client servicing activities across assigned portfolios to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact and escalation for complex client, operational, regulatory, and reputational matters.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across investments, product, operations, technology, legal, compliance, risk, and business management to deliver coordinated outcomes.
  • Drive strategic servicing initiatives and operating model enhancements that improve scalability, efficiency, and controls.
  • Establish and maintain service standards, procedures, governance routines, and control mechanisms to support consistent execution.
  • Lead complex client onboarding, account transitions, and change initiatives, ensuring strong communication and delivery discipline.
  • Provide oversight of operational risk management, control execution, issue remediation, audit engagements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze client feedback, servicing trends, and operational metrics to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
  • Manage team capacity planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and business continuity readiness.
  • Represent the function in governance forums and deliver clear updates, business cases, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in asset management, asset servicing, institutional client service, or related financial services roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex client servicing operations
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams through clear goals, feedback, and accountability
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple levels and functions
  • Experience leading organizational change, operating model transformation, and/or strategic business initiatives
  • Strong understanding of institutional client servicing, operational processes, and risk and governance practices
  • Demonstrated ability to balance client needs, operational requirements, control frameworks, and business priorities
  • Experience managing senior-level escalations and coordinating resolution across stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong knowledge of asset management products, investment vehicles, and institutional servicing models
  • Experience leading global teams and managing multi-regional stakeholder relationships
  • Experience implementing artificial intelligence, automation, workflow, and digital transformation solutions
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks
  • Experience engaging senior clients, investment teams, and executive leadership
  • Experience with organizational design, workforce planning, and operating model development
  • Experience leading teams through the adoption of AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, well-controlled execution through coaching, change adoption, and continuous improvement.
