Asset and Liability Management Officer
Location: Lagos
Summary: A role focused on monitoring liquidity, funding, and risk through ALM activities and reporting.

Responsibilities

Monitor cash flows, liquidity positions, and funding requirements; prepare ALM reports, dashboards, and management information; analyze assets and liabilities to identify mismatches and emerging risks; track funding sources, investment deployment, and portfolio performance; conduct profitability, liquidity, and risk analyses; perform stress testing and scenario analysis; support Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) activities and follow up on approved actions; reconcile treasury and investment data across departments; ensure compliance with ALM policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; monitor market trends, Sukuk yields, and competitor pricing; support audits, regulatory reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Measures: Accuracy and timeliness of liquidity forecasts and reporting; early identification and escalation of liquidity and risk issues; quality of profitability and deployment analysis; timely preparation of ALCO documents and action tracking; accuracy of reconciliations and compliance with reporting requirements; effectiveness of process improvement recommendations.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, FRM, ACI, or similar are desirable. Minimum of 4 years experience in treasury, ALM, portfolio management, financial analysis, market risk, or related financial services roles. Knowledge of the Nigerian financial market and non-interest finance is an advantage. Strong knowledge of treasury operations, liquidity management, and financial risk. Understanding of Shariah-compliant financial instruments such as Sukuk and Mudaraba. Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial modelling skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities. Strong attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills. High integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
