About this role

About the Role An Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling the components of a truck in accordance with working standards. In collaboration with their team, and in line with Scania's values, they contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, quality, ergonomics, productivity and the environment. What You'll Do

  • Assemble truck components following defined work instructions and standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to drive improvements in safety, quality, ergonomics, productivity and environmental outcomes.
  • Perform quality checks including simple tests and QA tasks.
  • Learn and comply with organizational policies, procedures and regulatory codes of conduct relevant to their work.
  • Support others by implementing improvements and performing simple change-management tasks.
  • Use and maintain tools safely; demonstrate and coach others in the safe use of tools and equipment according to operating procedures.
  • Conduct thorough safety checks and manage storage and issuance of tools and equipment.
  • Plan and allocate their own work to meet deadlines, coordinate service communication, and delegate short-term tasks when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong process or technical skills through assessment and development activities and both formal and informal training and coaching. What We're Looking For
  • Education: Lower Secondary School Level 2.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environment procedures and mandatory work methods (including use of personal protective equipment where applicable) to protect environment and self and others.
  • Ability to understand organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and code-of-conduct guidelines related to their work, and follow mandatory procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Willingness to participate in improvement/innovation tasks and perform simple change management activities.
  • Ability to use and maintain tools; demonstrate and guide others in the safe use of professional tools and equipment; conduct thorough safety checks and control tool storage and issuing.
  • Strong planning and task allocation skills; able to plan their own work, support service coordination, and delegate short-term tasks when necessary.
  • Commitment to personal development through participation in evaluation and development planning activities and training/coaching to maintain excellent process or technical skills.
