Job title: Assembly Operator
About the Role Join a family-owned, globally expanding manufacturer. As an Assembly Operator in General Assembly (Production Operations), you will assemble parts across multiple workstations, follow work instructions, and ensure safety and quality standards are met to support Brose's manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other according to workstation Work Instructions and fasten as required with clips, screws, and other means.
- Assemble parts using basic hand tools and rotate across different workstations to gain cross-functional knowledge.
- Follow Brose Quality Policy; comply with safety processes, procedures, and all valid Procedures, Job Instructions, and Organizational Instructions.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and implement health, safety, and environmental protection measures within your responsibility; escalate safety, quality, machine, and assembly issues to the team leader or supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an assembly operator in a production department of a series production company in the automotive industry.
- Physical Requirements: able to stand/walk for long periods; consistently lift 15-20 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a continuous noise-producing environment.
- Must be able to withstand higher temperatures on the production floor.
- Basic ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
- Specialized knowledge and skills: experience working with highly automated production equipment; experience in KANBAN, SPC, TPM, KAIZEN, Poka Yoke, continuous improvement.
- Teamwork mentality; able to collaborate and contribute to quality and environmental systems compliance with customer requirements.
