About the Role As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will contribute to a range of manufacturing functions by assembling and sub-assembling component parts to produce finished products. You may be assigned to various tasks such as hand assembly, pressing, plating, brazing, and cleaning of parts, and you will visually inspect components as they are processed. This role operates with minimal supervision and direction in a production environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of manufacturing functions including assembly and sub-assembly of parts to produce finished couplings.
- Use varied machines and/or hand tools; may be assigned to hand assembly, pressing, plating, brazing, and/or cleaning of parts.
- Visually inspect parts as they are processed.
- Proceed on assignments with minimal supervision and/or direction.
- Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assignments.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly roles preferred.
- Ability to operate machines and hand tools; manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Capable of following procedures and working with minimal supervision in a production setting.
