About the Role Direct and oversee all medical care rendered to patients within the Emergency Department during on-duty shifts. Lead and supervise clinical care, procedures, charting, and interactions with patients and staff by residents, interns, and students. This role requires a California medical license with Board Eligibility or Certification in Emergency Medicine and, at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, maintenance of Base Hospital Physician certification.
What You'll Do
- Direct and oversee all ED medical care during duty shifts.
- Supervise clinical care, procedures, charting, and interactions with patients and staff by residents, interns, and students.
What We're Looking For
- License to practice medicine issued by the California Board of Medical Examiners.
- Emergency Medicine residency training or Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Up-to-date appointment and privileging at designated hospital(s).
- Certification as Base Hospital Physician (required for ZSFGH).
