About this role

About the Role Join The Lawson Group as an asbestos inspector/consultant. You will perform asbestos inspections and help schools, businesses, and property owners across New Hampshire navigate managing asbestos safely and in compliance with state and federal regulations. You’ll work with licensed professionals to scope abatement projects, oversee compliance, and develop management plans that protect occupants and the environment. What You'll Do

  • Conduct asbestos inspections in schools, commercial buildings, homes, and structures slated for demolition, with inspections performed by licensed asbestos inspectors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with inspectors who bring five to nearly forty years of field experience, contributing to surveys in more than 10,000 buildings and the collection of over 100,000 samples.
  • Provide project oversight and abatement support: scope abatement projects, walk sites with potential contractors, collect and review bids, oversee compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations, and provide air monitoring, clearance testing, waste disposal verification, and final project documentation.
  • Prepare clear, practical asbestos management plans for schools that meet AHERA requirements and for other buildings that comply with NESHAP regulations.
  • Support ongoing asbestos management aims to help schools stay organized, meet regulatory requirements, and manage asbestos responsibly over time. What We're Looking For
  • Licensed asbestos inspector with experience performing inspections in schools, commercial buildings, homes, and structures slated for demolition.
  • Deep knowledge of AHERA (schools) and NESHAP (other buildings), as well as OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Experience providing abatement oversight, bid review, air monitoring, clearance testing, waste handling, and final project documentation.
  • Track record of hands-on field work and data collection (e.g., involvement in surveys of more than 10,000 buildings and more than 100,000 samples) and 5–40 years of field experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with schools, businesses, and property owners to stay organized and compliant.
