About the Role Regent University's School of Communication & the Arts seeks full-time, professional-track Artists in Residence in film and media production. The role balances teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with hands-on contributions to the Regent Film Institute in areas such as editing, production/post-production management, or motion graphics.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in film and media production.
- Provide services to the Regent Film Institute in motion picture editing, production/post-production management, or motion graphics.
- Collaborate on redemptive film and media projects within Regent Film Institute and contribute to the incubator of film and media projects.
What We're Looking For
- Energetic, entrepreneurial storytellers and media makers with demonstrated production experience across multiple areas of expertise.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses; appropriate degree; potential to teach across the curriculum.
- Demonstrated expertise in one of: motion picture editing, production/post-production management, or motion graphics.
- Commitment to Christ-centered teaching and learning; facility with online instructional technology; willingness to embrace Regent's identity and mission.
Nice to Have
- Substantial record of professional production credits adjudicated in juried festival and gallery contexts.
- Experience teaching across curriculum and serving broadly.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000–$80,000 annually. Appointments typically begin between $70,000 and $75,000; upper-range placements reflect substantial credentials.
