Art Instructor (Part-Time) – Adults with IDD IMPACT Innovation
About the Role
Art Instructor will design and facilitate hands-on art classes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as part of the IMPACT Innovation program at the IDD Education Center. This is a part-time role with a schedule of 8–10 hours per week, based on class offerings, and is campus-based in the University of Cincinnati environment.
What You'll Do

Plan and lead weekly art classes tailored to diverse learning styles and ability levels.

Adapt lessons to ensure accessibility and meaningful participation for all associates.

Encourage creativity, independence, and self-expression through a variety of media (painting, drawing, mixed media, etc.).

Support development of fine motor, communication, and social skills through art.

Collaborate closely with IMPACT staff to support participant success.

Prepare materials and maintain a safe, organized classroom environment.

Provide positive, constructive feedback.
