About the Role
Art Instructor will design and facilitate hands-on art classes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as part of the IMPACT Innovation program at the IDD Education Center. This is a part-time role with a schedule of 8–10 hours per week, based on class offerings, and is campus-based in the University of Cincinnati environment.
What You'll Do
- Plan and lead weekly art classes tailored to diverse learning styles and ability levels.
- Adapt lessons to ensure accessibility and meaningful participation for all associates.
- Encourage creativity, independence, and self-expression through a variety of media (painting, drawing, mixed media, etc.).
- Support development of fine motor, communication, and social skills through art.
