Job Description

As a Armed Security Guard in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. Day Time Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at government facilities.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.

• Monitor access points, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor management and traffic flow.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.

• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
