Job Purpose The Senior Manager oversees all operations related to Plastic, Thixo molding and Powder Coating, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role drives continuous improvement, cost optimization, and team development to support business objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of plastic/Thixo molding and powder coating department
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Manage budgets, resources, and production schedules to meet targets
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Launch, Maintenance, Quality) to resolve issues and drive innovation
- Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities
Critical experiences required to be ready for this job
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in plastic molding and powder coating operations
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex production environments
- Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
Demonstrated ability to drive change, manage budgets, and deliver business results
