About the Role The Area Sales Manager reports to the New Holland Harvesting Sales Lead and is responsible for developing sales and share of market for New Holland Agricultural machinery, while managing business relationships with the assigned dealers. What You'll Do
- Drive and support dealers to win retail contracts to achieve share of market.
- Manage orders from dealers to maintain appropriate inventory levels to satisfy retail.
- Regular dealer visits are a core part of the job, and customer visits will form a major part of the role.
- Define the dealer’s Annual Business Plan and set dealer sales forecasts and objectives; the plan will include Top Partner standards with improvement actions and audits.
- Drive proactive Sales App use and champion CRM as a sales management tool.
- Ensure marketing programs and policies are understood and utilized by the dealer sales force to achieve sales.
- Control and apply variable marketing funds through the order management system; organize and deliver Sales and Product Training to ensure dealer staff can sell New Holland features and benefits.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive models and specifications to keep the market environment competitive.
- Organize promotional events, demonstrations, open days, customer evenings, factory visits and product presentations.
- Spend time with customers in support of dealer activities to maximise market share potential and provide direct market feedback; contribute to the Business Unit team.
- Assist fellow Business Unit members to enhance value and contribution of the Business Units to the Dealer network and maximise the achievement of business objectives. What We're Looking For
- In-depth appreciation of sales and product-related activities in agricultural machinery, in particular Harvesting.
- Degree or HND in an Agricultural subject; high computer literacy; experience in a Sales & Marketing environment.
- Full clean driving licence (a job car is provided).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory; overnight stays within the UK & ROI may be necessary.
- Strong people skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with dealers and customers.
- Good negotiation skills; able to work independently and as part of a team; self-starter with a positive mental attitude and willingness to take responsibility for personal performance. Nice to Have Compensation & Benefits
