Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share for Bard India Healthcare Private Limited within a designated geographical area. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs for the designated territory.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand customer base and ensure strong market presence.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and business reviews to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize sales efficiency.
- Participate in product launches, exhibitions, and promotional events.
- Provide market feedback to marketing and product development teams to inform future strategies.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience and 2-3 years of device experience
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market and distribution channels.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to develop effective strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver's license.
