About this role

Area Sales Director – West leads a sales and clinical commercial field team across the US West region (California, Las Vegas, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix), responsible for recruiting, hiring, and developing talent, meeting revenue objectives, and managing regional operations.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop and manage US field representatives
  • Actively coach direct reports to meet annual objectives through the development of competent business skills, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Lead opportunity development and forecast management strategies translating into accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive clinical and commercial activities, competitive targets, and mobilization strategies
  • Plan and execute effective activities to communicate clear expectations and transfer necessary skills
  • Meet forecasting, trial enrollment, and revenue objectives while managing regional expenses
  • Develop aggressive talent development initiatives to optimize team productivity and cross-pollination
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key regional customers, KOLs, and major medical associations
  • Conduct market research on customers and competitors to inform market development plans
  • Communicate customer feedback on new or modified products to RD, Operations and Marketing
  • Adhere to periodic reports analyzing business performance

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 8 years) with a minimum of 10 years' medical sales experience including leadership
  • Documented track record of exceeding quotas and driving business objectives
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing talent
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed, geographically distributed environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills with experience presenting to senior management
  • Proven ability to influence C-level and executive stakeholders and deliver high-level presentations
  • Problem-solving capability in practical, diverse situations
  • Knowledge of healthcare and cardiac rhythm management/EP fields preferred
  • Travel up to 50% and a valid state driver's license

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the structural heart and/or Cardiac Rhythm Disease management/Electrophysiology fields is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per year
