Key responsibilities

• The Area Head of Landside Products is responsible for leading the Area Landside Transportation, Customs and Depot portfolio across products and operations. The role owns the end-to-end performance and delivery of the portfolio and is directly accountable for formulating and driving optimal Area P&L outcomes for Landside Transportation, customs, rail and depots.

• Business Growth & Financial leadership

• Own and deliver Area Landside, Customs & Depot P&L performance, including revenue, gross profit, EBIT and cost management.

• Drive commercial growth through pricing, win-rate improvement and execution of volume plans.

• Ensure financial health through effective cost-to-serve management, productivity improvements and asset utilization.

• Represent Landside, Customs & Depot within the Area Leadership Team and contribute to Area business strategy

• Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Lead end-to-end Landside, Customs and Depot operations across Area

• Ensure safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery that meets customer and business expectations.

• Drive operational performance through continuous improvement in productivity, utilization and network effectiveness.

• Resolve critical operational issues and market escalations to minimize business and customer impact.

• Monitor and improve key operational, service quality and safety metrics.

• Network, Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Define & execute vendor strategy to ensure optimal network performance and service reliability.

• Build strong partnerships with key customers, suppliers, carriers, depot operators and strategic partners.

• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Technology and Product teams to achieve business objectives.

• Support commercial opportunities

• People Transformation & Capability Building

• Lead and develop a high-performing Landside, Customs & Depot leadership team.

• Drive talent development, succession planning and organizational capability building.

• Sponsor and implement transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, customer experience and profitability.

• Establish performance management disciplines, governance mechanisms and accountability

• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, collaboration and execution excellence

• We’re looking for

• 15+ years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain management, with significant experience in managing and growing a haulage business, complemented by strong strategic thinking, a structured approach and business problem-solving skills.

• Strong South-East Asia logistics industry experience and market knowledge, particularly across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams across multiple countries and diverse cultures.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence and align diverse internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and lead initiatives from conception through execution.

• This role is open to candidates based in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. The successful candidate will be employed and based in their respective country of residence and must already have the legal right to work in that location.
