About this role

Area Continuous Improvement Leader will join Chemours' Advanced Performance Materials (APM) team at the Washington Works Plant in Parkersburg, WV. You will leverage the Chemours Business System to accelerate continuous improvement, drive operational excellence (including safety and environmental) and deliver strategic site initiatives across manufacturing value streams. The role partners with site leadership, cross-functional teams, and initiative owners to apply Lean, Six Sigma, and digitalization methodologies to improve performance.

Use the Chemours Business System tools to promote LEAN culture and lead process OD improvement activities (leader standard work, standard KPIs, 5S, etc.). Focus the area to ensure a robust pipeline of initiatives aligned to TCOM/competitiveness targets. Understand area profitability and collaboratively develop a 3-year improvement strategy, considering resource limitations. Interface with Capital projects and prioritization stakeholders to prevent underfunding of strategy. Integrate improvements with data analytics (data scientist/SCRUM master teams), agile ways of working, and digitalization initiatives. Support the Annual Site Profitability Review process. Drive execution of the area improvement strategy, including reporting progress against milestones. Facilitate ideation sessions for new area initiatives. Partner with initiative owners to define rigorous milestones and timelines. Provide coordination and execution coaching to project teams. Lead any needed Area CI stand-up meetings and initiative monitoring. Maintain expertise and provide consultation on dashboards (KPI metrics/datasets). Mentor area personnel to grow Continuous Improvement culture.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with demonstrated leadership in process improvement and cross-functional initiative execution. Strong analytical skills with ability to extract and summarize key concepts from complex sources. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Background in data analytics integration, dashboarding, and digitalization of manufacturing processes. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Lean Practitioner certification. Black Belt Certification.
