About the Role
Seeking a technical specialist to install, operate, and maintain the Arc Melt Furnace ABJ-900, our largest system for sustained use above 3500°C. This role focuses on safety interlocks, water cooling, inert gas and vacuum systems, and a configurable 9.0 inch diameter hearth. You'll support loading/unloading, cleaning, maintenance, and coordination with customers on order-specific designs. What You'll Do
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot the Arc Melt Furnace ABJ-900 and its heavy-duty power supply (500 Amp @ 80% Duty Cycle, 22 kVA) as well as associated water cooling, inert gas, and vacuum systems.
- Maintain and inspect the 9.0 inch diameter copper hearth plate, copper stinger with tungsten electrode, and related components (bell jar, viewport, halogen light).
- Configure melting cavities and coordinate custom hearth designs at order time.
