About the Role Join Alstom as an Apprentice Cost Analyst in the Electrical Domain. You will apply cost analysis techniques to estimate technical costs of products and identify optimization levers, collaborating with engineering, procurement and project management teams to support bids and international projects.
What You'll Do
- Use cost models to calculate the technical costs of products
- Identify the main cost drivers of products
- Propose design improvements to reduce technical and industrial costs
- Promote a cost-control culture within engineering teams
- Provide a detailed cost breakdown of products
- Support procurement in supplier negotiations
- Formalize opportunities for savings and optimized design ideas
- Create guidelines for design rules on specific topics
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or training in electrical engineering or related field
- General knowledge of the railway industry (standards, certifications, etc.)
- Understanding of industrial processes and their specifics
- Understanding of quality stages (V-cycle)
- Electrical design skills (wiring lists/devices, functional schematics, component sizing)
- EMC knowledge, safety and maintainability
- Experience or understanding of design tools (DMA, CATIA, EHI, E3S, SEE ONE, FAO-CAO)
- Skills in cost analysis (Should Cost / Could Cost)
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Office tools
