About this role
Careers/Appointment Setter - Virtual Staffing
You dial a list of pre-qualified prospects using Close, booking qualified appointments with decision makers onto your closer's calendar. You follow up unbooked leads on cadence, handle cancellations and reschedules, log outcomes on every call, and report daily metrics to keep the pipeline full.
BrightBeam is hiring a new cohort of Appointment Setters for its own sales team. The Appointment Setter keeps the sales calendar full of qualified, pre-framed appointments for BrightBeam's own staffing services.
The Appointment Setter owns one outcome: a real appointment, with the decision maker, at a time they show up to. A closer walks through the door the setter opens. The seat is a three-month trial with monthly targets that rise each month.
This is not a role for someone who drifts into research, qualification and administration. It is an ownership role for a disciplined caller who spends the working day on the phone and nowhere else, and treats an untagged call as a call not made.
The Appointment Setter works a list that BrightBeam's lead team has already built and cleaned, dials it in Close, and books qualified prospects onto a closer's calendar. The seat follows up every unbooked lead, handles cancellations and reschedules, and leaves a clean record on every call. The Appointment Setter does not run the sales cycle, quote prices or negotiate. The single priority is appointments that hold.
Key Responsibilities
-
Outbound Calling
-
Dial a minimum of 100 to 150 outbound calls per day, rising to 200 to 300 once sales automation is in place.
-
Work the BrightBeam staffing script: calls are consultative and carry more listening.
-
Open every call as the script sets it out: name, company, reason, question, with no permission asking and no apology in the voice.
-
Appointments & Follow Up
-
Book qualified appointments with the decision maker onto the closer's calendar, confirm them, and send the calendar invite the same day.
-
Follow up every unbooked lead on the cadence, and manage cancellations and reschedules so the calendar stays accurate.
-
Hand each appointment to the closer with a note in the prospect's own words: who covers the work today, the number they gave, the pain they named, and who decides.
-
Targets, CRM & Reporting
-
Log an outcome on every call before the next dial and a note on every conversation.
-
Report dials, conversations, appointments booked and appointments held every day, and raise blockers early.
Requirements
- Six months or more of appointment setting, sales support, lead response or SDR-style outbound work, with volume the applicant can describe in numbers.
- Fluent spoken and written English, clearly understood by a US business audience, with a falling tone at the end of a sentence; a US business owner must hear a statement, not a question.
- Comfortable with high call volume as the normal shape of the working day, holding the same energy on the two hundredth dial as on the first.
- Strong interpersonal skills, above all active listening: the setter asks the questions and lets the prospect give the numbers.
- Discipline and consistency: cadences, notes and daily reports only work when they run every day.
- Practical use of AI tools as part of a disciplined daily workflow (call preparation, notes, follow-up drafts).
- A stable internet connection, a quiet working space and a headset suitable for a full day of calling.
Preferred
- Experience selling virtual staffing services or virtual assistant services.
- Experience dialing into business services or home services.
- Experience in a seat where earnings include a commission component tied to appointments that hold.
- Experience working a daily dial target with a tracked follow-up cadence.
- Familiarity with a modern CRM and power dialer (Close, GoHighLevel, HubSpot or similar).
Full-Time Role
Tools & Platforms You May Use
- Close (CRM and power dialer; every call, outcome and note lives here).
- Discord for onboarding and daily team communication; Google Meet for interviews and roleplays.
- ClickUp or similar task tracking tools; Google Workspace.
Communication & Reporting Expectations
- Response Times: 15 minutes (internal messaging during scheduled work hours) | 1 - 3 business hours for email.
- Clear start-of-day and end-of-day updates through BrightBeam's operating system, plus a structured weekly update covering delivered work, learnings, blockers, and recommended next actions.
- Raise blockers and risks early, rather than waiting for a deadline to be missed; professional, concise, action-oriented communication across all channels.
Work Hours & Compensation
- Remote | Full-Time (40 hours per week), the working day on outbound calling.
- Schedule aligned to US business hours for the line of business being dialed, with agreed overlap set at onboarding.
- Three-month trial. After a successful three-month trial, once the seat is performing, earning potential is $1,000 to $3,000+ per month: a [monthly base, subject to the month 1 target] plus commission for each appointment that holds and a bonus for each that converts into a client; the full ladder is shared at the offer stage.
Rolling $300 to $1,500+ per month after three-month trial 40 hours per week, aligned to US business hours 100% remote
