About the Role Bosch Sunnyvale is seeking an Engineering Professional to own technical customer support, design-in activities, and cross-team coordination for Mobility Electronics. This role serves as the first technical contact for customers and drives solution-oriented feedback, ensuring successful development and transition to series production. Hybrid work arrangement with travel as needed. What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers; provide feedback and solutions per product training material and published customer-approved application notes and datasheets.
- Coordinate with Product Area Sensors (PAS), Product Area ICs (PAI), or Product Area Power Semiconductors (PAP) teams to obtain information and communicate to the customer.
- Apply application knowledge to assist customers in correctly designing Bosch products.
- Lead technical customer meetings and document the OPL when the customer development lead is in a different region.
- Gather customer requirements and communicate them to Bosch teams including Product Management.
- Support customer quality issues related to samples during development prior to SOP.
- Establish customer relationships by collaborating with engineering teams.
- Assist in pre-selling activities by leading technical presentations and providing information and support.
- Share information on application-specific customer trends, innovation, market, and competition.
- Support development of local customer communication in native language.
- Coordinate PPAP activities as required.
- Ensure customer technical satisfaction from first engagement through design-in and into series production.
- Coordinate sample warehouse activities for components and development kits including testing and packaging prior to delivery. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of design and/or application engineering experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders and work independently or as part of a global team.
- 5+ years of experience with semiconductors, MEMS devices, and/or Electronic Control Modules with understanding of the automotive electronics market.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including navigation, mobility, ADAS, and safety systems including airbags.
- Ability to travel nationally/internationally; may be required to spend 2 weeks in Germany for initial technical training. Nice to Have
- Knowledge of robotics in manufacturing environments (manufacturing robotics, humanoid robotics, etc.).
- Experience with electronic engineering tools such as oscilloscopes.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with understanding of the automotive supplier landscape (Tier 1s and/or OEMs).
- Candidates must live within commutable distance to Bosch Sunnyvale and be available to come into the office weekly. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $160,000 – $175,000 per year, plus annual corporate bonus and long-term incentive bonus.
