Job Summary
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.
You will act as a product specialist (industrial pumps product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments at the site.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers’ specifications
Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth
Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations
Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers
Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Ideally 2 years of relevant experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as Inside Sales Representative, Engineer
Bsc degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field
Working proficiency in English (any other language, especially across the CEE region would be a strong advantage)
Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking
SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
Good communication skills
