Job title: Applications Characterization & Requirements Analyst
About the Role Stefanini is seeking an Applications Characterization & Requirements Analyst to help document and structure information about the organization’s portfolio applications. You’ll work at the intersection of business, functional and technical teams to ensure accurate understanding of purpose, criticality, technologies and dependencies, turning complex data into decision-ready artifacts.
What You'll Do
- Document characterization sheets for portfolio applications within the organizational portfolio.
- Identify purpose, criticality, technologies and high-level dependencies of each application.
- Coordinate with SMEs to complete, cross-check and validate information gathered.
- Gather information through interviews, workshops and documentary analysis.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, traceable structures useful for decision making.
- Interact with technical, functional and business teams.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in information gathering and requirements elicitation.
- Proficiency in conducting interviews, workshops and documentary analysis.
- Ability to interact with technical and business teams.
- General knowledge of enterprise applications.
- Analytical thinking and ability to structure information.
- Capability to synthesize and document at executive/technical level.
- Previous software development experience, desirable.
- Key consideration: experience or knowledge in iSeries/AS/400, ideally with ability to understand legacy applications, batch processes, programs, typical environment structures and limitations of core/heritage platforms.
Nice to Have
- Optional experience working on legacy modernization projects or with batch-oriented environments.
