About the Role Eisenhower Health is seeking a Business Applications Analyst to support and optimize our Epic revenue cycle environment, focusing on Professional Billing (PB) Claims and Contracts. The position partners with operational and IT stakeholders to enhance workflows, resolve issues, and ensure accurate claims processing and reimbursement configuration within Epic. The role supports the core functions of Eisenhower's business applications to enable cost-effective, high-quality, efficient, and safe patient care.
What You'll Do
- Acts as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users and IS technical personnel.
- Coordinates and maintains current systems for assigned departments; supports departments during and after implementation and during clinical system upgrades.
- Analyzes current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, provider productivity, financial outcomes and cost savings.
- Identifies and helps plan department-specific requirements for future product acquisitions.
- Provides regular project status reporting and ensures necessary documentation and updates to service requests are completed.
- Works with vendors and IS staff to define modifications, acceptance criteria, and develop solutions; facilitates communications between groups.
- Provides technical assistance to expert users and follows PMO guidelines on projects.
- Troubleshoots issues and documents for vendor resolution; ensures proper out-of-office communication and administrative support as needed.
- Maintains and expands knowledge of assigned Epic applications and related healthcare technologies.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Relevant Epic certification(s) required for Epic application support; must complete within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years in healthcare or information systems related roles.
- Skills: Excellent communication (oral and written), positive interpersonal relations, training/teaching ability, facilitation, organizational and team-building skills; strong PC skills (MS Office, Internet, Email).
- Preferences: Experience in acute healthcare or vendor settings; working knowledge of healthcare applications; prior systems analyst or vendor experience is a plus.
- Other: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and coordinate with vendors and end users.
Nice to Have
- Epic certification as applicable and ongoing professional growth in Epic workflows.
- Familiarity with Epic PB/HB modules and revenue cycle processes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $37.19 - $56.49 per hour.
- Full-time role with standard benefits applicable to Eisenhower Health.
