The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application security, risk management, and compliance, ensuring that our applications meet the highest security standards while adhering to regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective security measures. Responsibilities: Conduct security assessments and audits of applications to ensure compliance with SOX ITGC requirements. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in applications and systems. Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures related to application security. Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and security tools. Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to enhance application security posture. Prepare and present security reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies. Mandatory Skills: Strong knowledge of SOX ITGC and its implications for application security. Proven experience in application security assessments and vulnerability management. Expertise in secure coding practices and familiarity with common security frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST). Experience with security tools such as static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) tools. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Experience with cloud security and securing applications in cloud environments. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks beyond SOX, such as GDPR or PCI DSS. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10 15 years of experience in application security, with a focus on compliance and risk management. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non technical stakeholders.
