What you will do
The Opportunity We are looking for an Application Engineering Intern to join our team based at our Wacol production facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across engineering, manufacturing and customer solutions while working with Australia's leading heavy vehicle brands. You'll learn from experienced Application Engineers, contribute to real-world projects and develop the technical knowledge required to build a successful engineering career.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with vehicle application engineering and technical support activities

Supporting the development of fit-for-purpose vehicle solutions for customers

Conducting vehicle performance, weight distribution and stability calculations
-
Assisting with chassis layouts, equipment integration and body builder solutions
-
Preparing technical documentation, drawings and vehicle specification information
-
Supporting customer adaptation and PBS-related activities
-
Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, sales and dealer teams
-
Participating in technical reviews, projects and stakeholder discussions
-
Researching, analysing and validating engineering data to support decision-making

Currently completing your 3rd or 4th year, or recently graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering

Passionate about engineering and eager to build a career in the heavy vehicle industry

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Effective written and verbal communication abilities

Curious, proactive and willing to learn from experienced professionals

Able to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
