About the Role Volt is seeking an Application Engineer in Reno, NV 89506 to support customer orders and quotes by creating documentation, drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials. This is a full-time, contract opportunity aimed at ensuring designs meet standards and can be produced efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Work with drafters, engineers, and supervisors to produce the required documentation for customer orders or quotes.
- Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
- Send drawings for approval, release order packages to production, and produce NMRs. Check drawings and BOMs produced by others.
- Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes.
- Work with the quotations group, sales group, and/or customers to choose the proper products to meet the customer’s needs.
- Provide support to manufacturing regarding application engineering designs.
- Provide electrical support and guidance to Drafters and Designers
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience in motor control design, switchgear or switchracks.
- Hazardous location standards NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX.
- Hands-on Electrical testing.

- Pay Rate: $34.00 - $36.92 per hour.
