About the Role Littelfuse is seeking an Application Engineer for Industrial Circuit Protection to provide application support and become the subject matter expert on industrial circuit protection. You will enable design wins, support internal and external customers, and help expand growth areas like Battery Energy Storage and Datacenters. The role is flexible in location, ideally in Northern California or the West Coast, with remote options.
What You'll Do
- Own the role of industrial circuit protection SME.
- Work with sales and technical staff to drive design wins for Littelfuse industrial products.
- Be the primary technical support contact for industrial circuit protection solutions.
- Conduct detailed product and application training for key customers, technical reps, and internal sales teams.
- Coordinate between engineering, product management, and sales to develop requirements for new products delivering best-in-class solutions to growing markets.
- Identify technology and competitive trends and assess impact to Littelfuse.
- Develop technical publications such as white papers, application notes and guides.
- Perform feasibility studies to uncover new product capabilities and features.
- Participate in product standards and industry committees (UL, NEMA, IEC).
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and ability to apply to real-world applications.
- Flexible and able to collaborate with multiple functional groups.
- 3-5 years of experience in the industrial electrical industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to drive change.
- Ability to thrive in an international, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for technology and applying it to a career.
- Willingness to travel within the United States.
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design concepts/tools (Autodesk Inventor, engineering drawings).
- 5-10 years of application engineering experience with industrial circuit protection products.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 84,400 - 150,280 per year.
