About the Role
The Animal Research Assistant will support husbandry, health monitoring, and environmental care for laboratory animals in the Psychological and Brain Sciences department. This is a part-time student position for Summer 2026 with daily on-site responsibilities at Tolentine Hall.
What You'll Do
- Manage and implement research protocols related to husbandry, health monitoring, and environmental support for laboratory animals.
- Provide daily care for animals as part of the animal care team, including weekends, academic breaks and holidays.
- Coordinate duties for the animal colonies with the other caretaker(s) to ensure coverage and welfare.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled Villanova student; work-study eligibility preferred but not required.
- Availability to work 12-15 hours per week during Summer 2026.
