Android Software Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

About the Role Motorola Solutions is seeking an Android Software Engineer (Fresh Graduate) to design, develop, and maintain Android software for our mission-critical products. The role involves working across the product lifecycle, collaborating with multi-site teams, and delivering reliable, high-performance software. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications in accordance with requirements and UI/UX design specifications.
• Contribute as an individual engineer on implementing new features or enhancing existing features for the product.
• Participate in all aspects of the product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing.
• Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within quality assurance, time, and cost constraints.
• Coordinate and participate in software design and code reviews.
• Create and execute unit, integration and system tests.
• Collaborate with front-end team and test team to ensure the best solution for successful feature deployment.
• Engage in inter-group and intra-group teamwork in a multi-site worldwide development environment.
• Meet project deliverables and timeline requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Adhere to performance and quality metrics and analyze data affecting KPIs.
• Develop intellectual property for the company and contribute to improving software development processes. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Good knowledge in real-time embedded software development for communication devices or consumer products is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Android native languages Java and Kotlin; solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM) and knowledge of AOSP & Customizations.
• Knowledge/Experience with LTE / DMR specs is a plus.
• System debugging and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Agile / Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well across different functional teams.
• Flexible to accommodate short notice work arrangements.
• Willingness to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
