Job title: Analytics Principal
About the Role The Analytics Principal will oversee a team of data analysts within Launch's Data Analytics and Visualization discipline, drive delivery on strategic accounts, lead and assist sales pursuits, and ensure high-quality analytics solutions with strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Oversee analytics project delivery, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project operating models, requirements, and objectives; design analytics operating models and delivery accelerators.
- Lead and assist with sales pursuits; build and empower sales accelerators; help raise external brand awareness.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Sigma Computing, or similar platforms; translate requirements into user-friendly dashboards; design high-fidelity wireframes; optimize data models; perform performance tuning.
- Design and optimize SQL queries; ensure data accuracy with robust data quality and validation checks; understand data structures and ELT preparation.
- Perform in-depth data analysis using modern analytical techniques; define KPIs and metrics; leverage cloud platforms for data source development.
- Ensure QA/testing, data governance, and data management best practices; contribute to analytics architecture and platform design.
- Contribute to the company’s data strategy and analytics center of excellence; identify opportunities for data-driven improvements in processes and operations; engage senior management and executives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team; stay updated on industry trends and emerging analytics tools.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in visual analytics with a proven track record of leading teams.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization & analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma Computing) and best practices; solid experience with analytics architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, Azure).
- Experience leading and supporting sales pursuits and developing delivery/sales accelerators.
- Familiarity with ELT processes and modern data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with project management and agile principles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $170,000-$190,000 per year.
