About the Role The Cloud Platform Analyst will manage, monitor, optimize and provide operational support for services and resources hosted on Microsoft Azure and AWS. You will serve as a technical expert to ensure performance, security, availability and governance of cloud platforms, and participate in projects implementing new cloud solutions with development, infrastructure, architecture and security teams to design, deploy and evolve the enterprise cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Manage and operate the cloud platform (Azure VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure SQL, App Services, Automation, etc.)
- Monitor performance, costs and resource utilization
- Maintain and improve cloud governance (policies, tags, RBAC, standards)
- Participate actively in projects for new cloud solutions, providing technical input on architecture and best practices
- Implement security and compliance measures (Security Center, Defender, identity, MFA, zero trust)
- Ensure platform security and compliance including Azure AD/Entra ID and access management
- Enforce compliance standards and corporate directives
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Azure services; analyze recurring incidents and deploy corrective actions
- Support cloud-related projects during validation, deployment and transition to operations
- Identify cost optimization opportunities (FinOps)
- Develop automations (Azure Automation, Logic Apps, PowerShell, Bicep/Terraform)
- Contribute to modernization (PaaS, serverless, containerization)
- Collaborate with developers, architects, infrastructure and security teams
- Evolve cloud architecture, standards and best practices
- Document processes, configurations and interventions; act as technical advisor in planning and design of new solutions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant cloud platform experience
- Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS on Azure and AWS (Compute, Storage, Networking, App Services / EC2, S3, VPC)
- Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and AWS CloudWatch
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts: IAM, RBAC, hybrid identities, Key Vault
- Scripting and automation skills: PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep/Terraform, AWS CDK
- Networking knowledge: VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, load balancers
- Understanding of DevOps concepts: CI/CD, pipelines, Git
- Azure and AWS certifications are required
- Ability to solve complex problems; excellent written and verbal communication; functional English essential (20% of the role)
Nice to Have
- Experience with FinOps and cost optimization at scale; familiarity with modern cloud-native patterns (PaaS, serverless, containers)
