About the Role Role focuses on Windows infrastructure with SCCM and VMware virtualization, emphasizing automation and IT design. The position requires extensive scripting, IT-architectural documentation, and ability to work across teams on CI/CD-enabled solutions and self-healing automation. What You'll Do
- Install, upgrade, patch, and maintain vCenter & ESXi environments.
- Install, upgrade, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Work with NSX-T, vRNI, and vRealize components; implement security baselines (CIS).
- Perform platform patch management and ESXi hardening.
- Automate daily tasks using PowerShell; develop custom dashboards and alert definitions; create and maintain automation documentation for end users, engineers, and architects.
- Design and implement CI/CD solutions; prototype and evaluate new solutions/products.
- Resolve ESXi performance issues and conduct root cause analysis of complex issues.
- Collaborate in task forces and critical incident bridges; strong communication required.
- Automate Windows and SCCM platform tasks; leverage CI/CD technologies and AI-enabled self-healing as applicable.
- Document designs and procedures; maintain documentation; work with JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, Bitbucket (Atlassian suite), Ansible Tower, Packer, SCCM, Windows Server.
- Optimize platforms using vROPS; create capacity dashboards on demand; manage alert/symptom definitions.
- Operate across Google/Azure/AWS and on-prem environments; contribute to platform optimization and automation. What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in large VMware environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with vCenter/ESXi, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX-T, vRNI, and vRealize stack.
- ESXi hardening and CIS security baseline management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell; strong scripting and Ansible capabilities.
- Experience with SCCM and Windows Server.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to engineer and document IT solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes; proficient with JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, Bitbucket (Atlassian suite), Ansible Tower, Packer.
- Good communication skills; able to work in task forces and critical incident bridges; SCRUM/SAFE SCRUM experience. Nice to Have
- Additional knowledge on NSX-T, vRNI, and vRealize stack will be preferred.
